10×10 Challenge, Shooting Nudes & My 1st Vernissage

In 2007 Stephane Brazeau, a new member of the Lakeshore Camera Club proposed a revolutionary idea for a friendly competition for club members.  It was based on the Naked in the House competition, but since Steph was new and all, he dared not propose that we use nude models!  The LCC version would involve fully…

Wow. Kudos for being so brave. I think this is an amazing and somewhat terrifying idea! I really like your second photo… the reflection on the window almost makes it look like she has wings you can barely see… Though I couldn’t begin to guess which is your fav. :-)

Amazing! what a great challenge! Your photos are all amazing. I ♥♥♥ the first two.

**…..RELIEVED that the model was a woman… I think I would have spent 30 minutes blushing and looking at the floor if it had been a man…. **

I would’ve run away as fast as possible! : )

The reflections add to the story, her expression is perfect and the composition you’ve given it works really well..

It’s definitely my favourite shot of the set

LOL Sachin, you got one out of three! I thought the last shot was OK, the first is the one I really liked and the second (looking out the window) was the experiment… I could only use one lens and no polarizer, so I found the reflections a little distracting, but surprisingly, I got a lot of great feedback about that image and the emotion it evokes.

My mom actually had an entire back story worked out for that window shot: The girl had just broken up with her boyfriend, he drove off in a hurry, she was looking out the window, hoping he would return, lamenting their lost love… Now you know where I get my imagination from :-)

Fantastic shots Victoria.. I really love the second one.. Just beautiful

”When it was all over, I had at least one shot that I really, really liked, another that I thought was OK and a third that was an experiment that could have been better excuted… Can you tell which is which?”

Is the experiment the first?
The one you really like the second?
and the one you think is ok the third?

Apologies if im wrong.. just wanted to take a stab at the quiz..

Cant say no to a quiz!!

Take care Victoria!

Sachin

Stopped by the Gallery on Saturday and saw all the great shots. Yours (the girl looking through the window) in my opinion was the shot that showed true emotion. I do not know which image won but this was the best in my opinion.

This is an impressive post and so far outside your typical subjects. My only suggestion for your next challenge would be to start practicing counting to 10 – my kids can help you out if you like! Great job and congratulations again for taking another huge step in your career!
